Cybermate Launches Agentic AI Platform for Real‑Time Human Risk Reduction

Cybermate Unveils Plans for an Agentic AI Platform to Reduce Human-Driven Cyber Risk Across Australia’s SMEs, Schools, Charities and NFPs

Cybermate has announced a major expansion of its behavioural‑first cybersecurity platform, launching a new agentic AI safety companion designed to reduce human‑driven cyber incidents in real time.

The initiative comes as Australian SMEs, schools, charities, and community organisations continue to face rising cyberattacks, with human error remaining the leading cause of breaches nationwide.

Cybermate’s new agentic AI capability provides continuous, contextual guidance at the exact moment users face risky decisions, moving beyond traditional annual training modules that fail to influence behaviour in the moments that matter.

CEO and Co-Founder Greg Caleo says the evolution reflects an urgent need for practical, people-centred protection.

“Cybersecurity has a human problem, not a tooling problem. Most breaches happen because people are rushed, pressured, or deceived,” said Caleo.

“People don’t need another dashboard; they need a mate who has their back at the exact moment a decision is made. Agentic AI finally makes that possible.”

Cybermate’s behavioural-first approach, known as Psybersecurity, blends psychology, micro-training, real-world simulations, and real-time coaching to reduce human-driven cyber risk significantly. The new agentic AI layer enables Cybermate to observe behavioural signals (with consent), interpret risk patterns, and intervene with timely, empathetic guidance before an incident occurs.

The platform’s five-phase roadmap includes real-time behavioural coaching, autonomous human-risk detection, AI-driven incident prevention, personalised safety companions, and a multi-agent system linking behavioural and technical signals.

Cybermate’s expansion aligns closely with the Australian Government’s national cybersecurity strategy, which highlights the need to uplift the cyber resilience of small businesses, schools, and charities.

“This next chapter supports our mission to make Australia the most cyber-secure nation on earth,” said Caleo.

“By giving everyday workers a trusted digital companion, we’re making cyber safety accessible, practical, and human.”

Cybermate has won multiple awards, including the ARN Innovation Awards (2022, 2023, 2024), the 2024 Business NSW Award, and finalist nominations in the 2025 Australian Cyber Awards and the Small Business Champion Awards.
